what the f%*k is a forkling?

It's not a technical term. It's a term of endearment. One that I made up.

The forkling is the little baby fork you use to guide a fresh oyster into your mouth. The one you leverage to dislodge an escargot from his little shell home. A tool in which you carefully select a gherkin from a cocktail relish tray. 

It's a metaphor, really. Just a little taste of all the delicious things in the world that have graced my plate.
